An Inconvenient Truce
The Al Gore film, An Inconvenient Truth, has me rethinking Gore; as are many other Americans. The robotic Gore of the past, who invented the Internet, who was Clinton's B!tch, who was just The "un-Hillary" has had a personality transplant. Tonight on PBS' Newshour a couple of things got me thinking about how differently I view Gore than back in the 2000 election. And if this movie & publicity are making me think that, what's America thinking?
Gore waves off the requests to run again, but as pointed out on tonights news, what a brilliant strategy. To be the UNpolitician is brilliant. Gore could certainly beat someone currently with approval ratings near negative that he actually beat via the popular vote eight years ago couldn't he?
The last time I lived in Georgia I voted for Nader (c'mon, did you doubt how GA would go?). If Gore ran this time I'd be tempted to check his box instead of writing someone in.

Global warming advocates Are very loud and only focus on car emissions. I believe people are interested in why and there is the answer:
Global warming advocates belong to financially upscale class, which constitutes 10-15% of American population. The majority OF Americans belongs to middle class. Middle class American has a house of about 2000 sg.ft and his monthly energy bills do not exceed around $300 including gas, electricity and oil. Everybody understands that electricity must be included in calculation of energy consumption and environment pollution, since electricity is mostly produced from oil and coal whith 60% efficiency or less. The electricity production process using oil and coal is highly polluting, thus, we need to take in into account for the purpose of analyzing emissions sources. Average hose of an upscale American exceeds 20,000 sg.ft and often includes huge piece of land, heated swimming pool, lighted tennis court, stables etc. I assume that monthly energy bills achieve thousands of dollars. Some Americans from upscale class own airplanes, even Boing 747. A Boing 747 usually accommodates over 350 passengers. When a such plane is uses by just one family, the family waste the same amount of fuel and pollute the atmosphere to the same degree as 350 passengers. Thus, 10-15% of American population consume energy and pollute environment much, much more that the hole middle class. The bottom line is: the objective of focusing only on car emissions is to divert us from the real source of pollution. I have no doubt that this has been done on purpose.
